My 17 year old self is loving playing Armored Core 1 on a PS5. So happy that they released this. Makes me realize how ahead of it's time AC truly was back in the 90's.

Well it seems sometimes it doesn't pay to pre-order I guess. I pre ordered AC6's collectors edition from Bandai. It seems there was some kind of a delay and the game hasn't even shipped yet, heck I haven't even been charged yet. I reached out to support and asked for a download key and the initial response was to pund sand - nicely. I asked again and explained my situation and she was kind enough to escalate me. Happy to report that Bandai reconsidered and provided me a digital code to download the game, should be able to play it tonight. So for those in the same boat there is hope. I took the 'nice' approach and it paid off.

Wow - After watching the live stream yesterday I am more hyped than ever for the game. The 3 vs 3 gameplay was absolutely stunning in my mind. You had the classic YouTube trolls knocking the graphics, but I thought it looked stellar. One of my takeaways though what that Quads and Tanks are going to be spectacular. The torso part of the Tanks being able to rotate really looked to help with turn radius and target tracking. I think I will start with a biped heavy as a nod to my old school AC Longshot haha. Just for old times sakes. Another thing that I thought was really cool was that at one point during ther Vs play the announcer talked about during the PS and PS2 generation he had no idea there was a cohesive vs scene out there. He mentioned stumbling across a Yahoo group that worked to match up players which resulted in him joining a Mid West RNNC. I wonder somewhat selfishly if that page was the old school raven locater that used to be on Geocities and was the first version of AC-X. He didn't come out and say it but would sure be cool if it was. Just a fun thought. Anyhow super excited for the game, can't wait. After watching the 'young guys' play it's clear I won't be super competitive but I am sure am looking forward to trying my had at it!

Just 1 week away from AC6 - I am not sure I have ever been more excited for a game to release.Certainly not more excited as an adult. I hope the gamelives up to the hype and does something to bring the old timers back into the fold. I am not sure I am even capeable of playing an AC game that doesn't involve large pixels anymore lol.

It turns out a lot has changed about web design over the last 20 years - Who knew haha. Working hard to bring over a lot of the content from the AC-X of old. Builders, part stats etc, but it will take some time. For now I very much appreciate you visiting and hope to connect with some old school friends.
