Armored Core 2 (2000): Armored Core 2 shifts the focus to a new era with advanced technology and a fresh storyline. Players embark on a journey through a world reshaped by conflict and political intrigue while engaging in high-stakes mech combat.

Armored Core 2: Another Age (2001): A standalone expansion to Armored Core 2, Another Age, introduces new missions and challenges. Players face AI-controlled enemies and uncover more of the game's lore while customizing their mechs.

Armored Core 3 (2002): Set in a post-apocalyptic world, Armored Core 3 follows Ravens as they explore the surface after humanity retreated underground due to environmental disaster. Players undertake missions to protect their faction and discover the secrets of the surface.

Armored Core: Silent Line (2003): Silent Line continues the story after Armored Core 3, with Ravens discovering the underground facility "Silent Line," holding powerful technology. Players face new threats and rival Ravens seeking the facility's secrets.

Armored Core: Nexus (2004): Nexus presents conflicts arising from advanced AI and corporate schemes. Players make crucial choices affecting multiple storylines while engaging in intense mech battles.

Players join the "Mercenary" ranks, engaging in massive-scale battles known as "Orbital" conflicts, where Nexts and colossal Armored Cores, called "Normals," vie for dominance. Armored Core 5 (2012): Armored Core 5 introduces a significant shift in gameplay and narrative, as it focuses on a decentralized world with cities governed by self-governing "Consorts." These Consorts vie for resources and territories, and players become part of a mercenary group known as "Recon Unit," fighting for these city-states. Cooperative play becomes an essential element, with teams of players tackling missions and competing in massive battles to influence the power balance between cities. Players now join either "Raiders" or "UNACs" (Unmanned Armored Cores) to take part in Faction Wars and gain control of territory.
